Dawgs clinched the season in the game before ours
Harrison returned and went 6-for 6 and played great D on SS. Johnny bombed his homer "10 feet onto the dirt" of the other field. Mike bombed one over RF that maybe typically would be a homer.

Sharks gave up home due to having only 8 at game time.
Stephen had another great game at SS in Harrison's absence, picking up two hard hit balls with tough bounces. Tony in LF fought off the sun on a deep fly in the 4th, and Chet in RC caught a deep fly in the fifth. Johnny in LC in the second charged and caught a low liner.
Another week, another bomb over the fence for Stephen. I dislike the term "dagger", but his bomb effectively ended the game. Annie had a nice liner over the infield in the 4th to extend the inning that got us back to a tie from down 12-2.

Space Force gave up home due to a shortage of players at game time.
Another game, another 2 home runs for Stephen. Yukio upped his total from 1 to 2. One of Stephen's cleared the fence, while Space Force's new player Roman Cervantes, who kinda/sorta wanted to form a team for the construction guys for building 350, hit a laser over the fence.
The first Space Force batter in the 7th hit a deep liner to L/LC. Yukio and Johnny ran full-speed for it and collided with a loud thud. Johnny tweaked his knee, but Yukio was laid out with a trickle of blood running from his mouth to his ear. After ~3 minutes, he popped back up to finish the game. When brushing teeth the next morning, Yukio saw water coming out the holes formed by his canines going through his lower lip.

Stephen's solo homer was over the fence, which maybe happens 10 times a season for the entire league now. His second homer was too deeeeeep right. Yukio's homer was a blast to right. Otherwise, we may have tried too hard to get the ball to the outfield.
Sharks played most of the first with 8, as Johnny's internship ends at 5:30, and Chet arrived late also. The Dawgs hit two flies to Richard in RF for outs, perhaps trying to hit the hole at 2B.

Johnny broke traffic laws to arrive just as the game was starting. Since Yukio had bat in hand and was approaching the plate, Johnny batted second, and, wow, did he kill the ball: liner off the fence, three other squared-up balls, and one that he got under and put over the fence.
Stephen got RBIs every time up. He and Johnny back to back went 10-for-10 with 10 runs scored, 11 RBIs. Yukio before them and Mike after them each went 4-for-5. Yukio beat the RF badly for a homer to open the game.
The big defensive play came in the first. With the bases loaded and two outs, Mike struck out the #7 hitter to get out of the inning. Stephen at SS to Alex at 2B to Joe at 1B turned a nice double play to end the 5th, which sealed the game.

Alex's 3-run homer that bounced to the fence ended up being the difference, as AFoS rallied, including a homer by Pete Landry over Richard in RC to pull within 2. Sandro then doubled, but the next batter hit a low liner to RC that Richard charged and caught.
Yukio left early for kid stuff.

Of the Monday a.m. possibles, Johnny's 10% likelihood didn't come through, Chet's spouse got sick, and Kris forgot to click "decline".
Down 14-2 after 1.5 innings, we put up 10 and then got to positive expectation in the 3rd by tying the game with only 1 out and Stephen on 2B. But the Dawgs kept hitting the holes often enough, despite our wild/desperate adaptations, like Stephen as a deep infielder with only Yukio and Richard at true OF depth. Solid D by Alex at SS, who had to cover a lot of ground.
In the 2nd, Joe's OUT and Mike's second hit might be flipped. Too few people to keep score.

Johnny's homer carried and carried and finally sailed over the fence.
Backbreaking hit of the day was probably Alex's, which burned the LF badly.
Harrison was awesome again at SS, and Stephen had the D backbreaker, where their #8 or #9 batter, whom our OFs were in on, crushed one that would have gotten to the fence in LF except Stephen caught it high over the backside shoulder.

Their outfielders were fast and ran down most of our balls, though the ball seemed dead like a balata ball. It was physically squishy, and Richard may have had it for years in his garage.

Yukio pitched. Great defense by Johnny in LC, who ran down two sinking liners that should have been hits, and by Harrison at SS, whose best play was a stab and throw to 1B of a hard grounder up the middle. After he gloved the ball, Harrison took a split-second to choose to turn 90 degrees clockwise and throw awkwardly rather than spin 270 counter clockkwise.
Joe at 1B may have gotten the leadoff batter, pitcher Mike Vicic, out all 4 times,
Yukio's 3-run homer brought us back from the dead, cutting the deficit from 9-3 to 9-6, and Ana's 2-run, 2-out single cut the deficit to 1. Brad's double in the 7th finally got us the lead back, and AJ's bases-loaded single later in the inning gave us a little breathing room
