Round Table: Brad, Kris, Joe, Richard.
This was a really enjoyable, well-played game. Defensively, there were maybe 5 plays we could have done better, which is good for our league. However, the solid plays more than made up for them, and one was insane. One of their beast hitters hit a rocket two hopper that exploded up on the second hop, but Harrison gloved it cleanly and threw him out. Harrison had maybe two other solid plays, while Joe at 1B had 1 great short hop for an assist to Yukio at P as well as a hard, high hopper and another good assist to Richard at P in the first. Alex at C in the first caught a throw home that beat one of their beasts by 15 feet, so that guy hit the brakes and headed back to 3B, but she chased him, forced him to commit, and threw a strike to Brad at 3B for the out. Maybe 10% of B Leaguers could have made that play.

Stephen up, 2 outs, 2 on. The pitcher Brian Bone, a really good guy, goes to 3-1 on Stephen. Some infielder said, "walk him", but Brian threw a high strike, and Stephen put it over the fence to put us up 10-5. 2 innings later Stephen hit a grand slam to essentially close out the game

Key play of the day: with runners on 1st and 2nd, 1 out, Yukio hit a deep fly to center that Mike had to hold up on. The RCF Nick retrieved the ball very quickly, but Richard coaching 3B had already sent both Mike and Stephen home, and the relay beat Stephen by 5 feet. Without that out, the Sharks would have been down 19-15 with 2 outs and 1 runner on instead of game over.

Titan UP fielded 8 players, only 4 of which were theirs. Tough year. Thanks to Tony Greicius and Megan Lagace of Dawgs and Mike and the other NGNLer for sticking around for their 3rd game of the night.
Stephen played SS in Harrison's absence and covered 1/3 of the field. Yukio in LC and Johnny in RC got the rest. Kris at 2B caught a hard liner to his right in the 5th. Brad at 3B speared a hard 1-hopper to his left to get the second out in the 7th, and Richard at 3B in the 3rd caught a dying liner against the fence, both off Tony Gr.
Yukio hit a hard line drive to RF for his homer to give us a pretty safe margin.
