Playoff game #3: 2 seed at 1 seed
Great 8-2 putout from Craig to Annie to end the top of the 5th.
Trena smacked the ball hard every time up, but the Dawgs played good D to get her on three of those.
Dawg 3B Kent nailed Chet on a wild throw in the 4th, with the ball ricocheting off Chet's head onto Lincoln Ave. Tough guy stayed in the game and played the subsequent game as well.
Harrison hustled and beat the throw to 2B to lead off the 5th but came off the bag for a split-second, and the SS kept the tag on long enough.
In the first, Rich couldn't get back to 1B fast enough on a grounder to Stephen at 2B and missed the throw. Joe in RC moved well for a deep fly but then dropped it. However, int the 4th, Joe caught an even deeper fly for a big out.

Playoff game #2: 5 seed at 1 seed
Stephen cranked one over the fence in LC and hit three other rockets.
Mike walked the 2nd of their three somen in the top of the 6th, but then got their leadoff batter to ground back to him with 2 outs and the bases loaded.
Aaron tripled on a deep fly in the 4th that the LF could not keep his glove on, then scored on Steph's infield pop-up behind 1B. He also made a good charging catch in the 5th.
Trevor had the catch of the day, a deep liner close to LC that Aaron couldn't catch up to. He also charged and caught a knee-high liner earlier.
Chet led off the 7th with a good single, then Trevor, pinch-running for him, went 1st to 3rd on Joe's hard single to LF, safe by just a bit. Annie then smarltly grounded the ball to the 2B, who threw home too late to get Trevor.
The only out Joe made was a good low liner to LF that Jesse laid out for. Annie's only out on the day was one that Abby at 3B laid out for. Joe may have had the catch of the day on a deep fly between RC and RF, though Joe had looked lost on a liner in the first that ended up going for a home run.

Harrison probably assisted from SS on 40% of all the outs. Outfielders Trevor, Aaron, and Chet each had nice plays on non-trivial line drives.
Aaron pitched the last inning. We have another backup pitcher!

Harrison arrived in the 4th during Rich's at bat. 1 minute earlier and he could have batted immediately. Doh!
Craig's first homer was a rocket to CF, while his other two on the day were solid hits that got past the defenders.
With the bases loaded and none out in the 5th, the AFoS left hit a rocket just to the right of 2B which Stephen caught ankle-high then stepped on 2B for a big double play. In the 7th with the tying run on 3rd, Stephen caught a hard liner again to his right to end the game.

Aaron and Craig showed up during the top of the 1st. Aaron entered at LC while Craig had to wait. Ryan subbed but left in the 4th with sore legs.
Rich and Richard hit into 3 double plays combined, but Stephen at 2B got a 4-3 double play and fed Brad for two 6-4-3 double plays.

Stephen's first homer was a high shot to dead center that cleared the fence to the right of the light post. That rally began with none on, two out, and tied the game. Stephen's second homer was a rocket to dead center again that scooted under the center fielder. Aaron's homer to left also got past their outfielder.
In the second, Stephen at 2B sprinted and caught a low looper behind 1B. In the third, Craig in LC made a strong throw to Richard at 3B to easily get the SH runner going from first to third. Joe in LF in the third caught a deep fly from their Trevor, who's always been a tough out for us. In the fifth, Aaron in RC charged hard to get a low liner to RF for the second out, then Craig in LC charged just as hard to CF to end the inning. Richard in RC laid out for a low liner to end the game.

Stephen left the game because of his work, then finished quickly enough to return before the end of the game. Richard suggested putting him back in the same spot in the lineup. Fred thought it should be at the end.
Trevor squared up every ball, prompting his move up the batting order in the second game. His homers went to LC and RC, and the second ended the game on account of time.
On Stephen's deep fly in the 2nd, Richard tagged and scored from 2B.

Mike gets the game ball for pitching well through the wind storm. He struggled a bit at first, but eventually worked it so that his balls started at right-handed batters but broke back onto the plate. The other pitchers walked 11.
Stephen and Kris subbed and homered to RC.

Harrison at SS made all the plays, but the highlight was a hard grounder in the 6th, up the middle three feet to the left side of 2B that he lunged for and caught, then wheeled and threw hard and knee-high to Joe at 1B for the out.
Other good plays: Mike at P stabbed a hard liner to end the second. Chet at 1B dug out a low throw in the third. Richard at 2B in the 6th after tweaking his hamstring stretched far to his left to force the runner from first. Trevor in his debut broke really well on the balls hit to him in LF.
Aaron killed the ball all night, starting with a hard liner over the LF for a double. Harrison and Chet had big two-out, two-run hits later in the game.
Craig caught a stomach flu and missed the game, which was bad enough, but he had inherited the team bats from Troy Torrez. The team may have been using a 26 and a 28 ounce cracked bats from Richard. Trevor arrived in the 2nd inning. Transportation to/from the games may be an issue for him.
