In the first, Trena hit a solid grounder up the middle that the good SS got horizontal for, but the ball hit the base, ricocheted up, and clocked him in the face. The other big blow was Craig's grand slam in the 3rd to firmly get us out of our lull.
Other big hits: TroyT's two-out double to get us something in the 6th. Our last out was a hard line drive by Carolyn that had it split the outfielders might have gone for a home run.
After our big first inning in which we went through the order without an out, VS hit two hard grounders that Brad at 3B fielded and threw perfectly for outs. Harrison got the middle out on a good run to shallow CF to catch a pop-up.

Harrison at SS and Richard at 2B rushed throws in the first, giving them 3 extra outs.
Brad was almost ready to play at game time. Craig and Tony showed up later.
Nice comeback to tie the game, but we just couldn't get a key hit or key defensive play to turn the game.
Smartest play came from Tony Greicius, who moved himself to RC and put a slower guy in LC.

NGNL had only 7 at game time so batted first despite being home team.
Aaron put another one over the fence, the only one for either team on the day. Craig tripled to left, and Joe's double carried over the LF's head. Harrison hit the hardest ball of the day, a liner that Jordan in LC caught. Trena's two outs were also rockets.
Kenny subbed at 3B and had a spectacular, disheartening play in the third on a line drive that bounced one feet in front of him that he cleanly backhanded and gunned for the out. Joe at 2B had an outstanding running catch on a low pop-up over 1B to end the 4th.

Scared Hitless might not have scored in the last inning.
Trevor on SH nailed a line drive back at Dave, who managed to get his hand up to protect himself. He left the game after that play.
No Slim, so their pitching was much more hittable. Harrison crushed two homers to center and left, while Brad hit his to center. Aaron also put one high into the trees.
Great running by Aaron in the 3rd, scoring from second on Trena's groundout.
Harrison batted right-handed in the 6th.

Harrison played well at shortstop, so Gasp found success on the right side. Mike and Dave pitched well, with Mike cutting a throw from the outfield to throw a runner out at 2B.

Harrison at SS made a double play off a popup to short and throw to first to start the 6th. All 9 runs scored after that.
Dave had an easy triple but got sent home and thrown out in a pickle. trying to advance from 1st to 3rd on a single. We ended their 2nd with a 8-2 (Craig - Trena) on a runner trying to score from second on a single.
Annie hit 3 hard balls to first with no positive results
3 easy pop ups to end the game.

We ended the Isotopes's 1st with a 9-5 (Richard - Brad) on the runner trying to advance from 1st to 3rd on a single. We ended their 2nd with a 8-2 (Craig - Trena) on a runner trying to score from second on a single.
Craig homered to dead center than to right center to end the game. Aaron hit a laser to LC over the fence.
