With Frank on 1B in the second, Annie hit a high chopper to 1B. Frank shielded the 1B , who bobbled the ball then tried to flip to Jessica Downs covering. Jessica couldn't see where she was, ended up in the basepath, and Annie ran into her, getting shaken up.
Sharks needed a win to have a chance to tie for first.

How do you start a day slugging 2.0000, then increase that number? by going 5 for 5 with a double, a triple, and two homers. Angel had 10 RBIs on the day, which is probably a Sharks record.
Rich also went 5-for-5 with 5 runs scored, and Mike had two big hits before leaving. Steve, Anne, and Tony also only made one out apiece.
Angel's homers cleared the fence; one hit the top of the light pole in left center. Brad's also cleared easily. Rich's homer went under the RCF, and Richard's homer went straight up the middle. Angel tripled somewhere, Tony knocked his off the fence, and Mike drove his to center.
Richard had a good defensive game: a 5-3 double play to end the first, a 5-3 stick-with-it bouncer off the chest, two other assists, a foul pop-up, and a lunging pop-up for the second out of the seventh.
Steve pitched innings 1, 2, 4-7, while Mike pitched inning 3 before leaving for his daughter's championship softball game.
After Richard's throwing error in the 5th, Frank had a nice line drive double play.
6 players at game time. Adrian no-showed. Late: Steve, 2 minutes; Tony, 3; Mitch, 4; Angel, 5.

Angel's homer landed well on the dirt of the opposite field. Richard's triple was a low line drive to center.
Bottom 4 of the order reached base safely 12 of 14 times.
Adrian crushed her double to deep left and made a nice catch of a hard line drive in the 5th.
Frank had no errors, probably 6 assists at SS.
Earl arrived 5 minutes late; Mitch, about 8.

All home runs cleared the fence except Mike's, which went to center, like Tony's triple.
Steve in LF made two good catches in the second.
Richard at 3B made a good stop of a grounder down the line but threw wild to Angel at 1B. Richard also ended the fifth by spearing a sharp liner to his left.
Josh had something. Mitch was sick. Earl no-showed. We played with 9.
Kaspar von Braun of Last Gasp umpired, very well at that.

This was a brutally bad game until the last inning.

The game started 10 minutes late as KOT waited for any female player to arrive.
After the Sharks scored 9 and Rich singled, the umpire declared that the current inning was the last one. Brad hit a grounder to SS, who threw high and pulled the 1B off the base, but the ump called him out anyway.
Brad and Steve hit towering shots to left over the fence. Richard hit a hard grounder between 3-4 then 9-10. KOT probably hit 4 over the fence and 2 to the opposite back stop.
Steve in RF, Richard in LC, and Brad at SS had brutal misses.
Mike pitched innings 1-3. Steve pitched 4-5.
Frank no-showed.
