Chris hit 3 no-doubters to left, and Mike hit a deep fly to right, but the key hit was Frank's homer, which finally put us ahead. That ball was Frank's first ball over the fence and his first homer for Sharks since summer of 2002.
Before the game, an errant throw from a Procrastinator hit Steve Guzman on the nose, which gushed blood for a few minutes. He stuck through it and played well, making a good play at SS to end the 4th.

6 solo homers: Richard hit his to dead center, while the other 5 (Brad 1, Chris and Angel 2 each) cleared the fence.
Otherwise, the key hit was Annie's yet again, who singled to put the tying run on base with none out in the 6th. Frank then smoked one to the fence in left to load the bases, Jessica walked on a 3-2 pitch to tie the game, and Steve won it with a deep drive to left.
Steve Guzman pitched the entire game and started two line drive double plays, a 1-3 and a 1-5. Chris at 3B also played excellent D.
Jessica Downs subbed on short notice, with Dave Scaff's gracious consent.

7 players at game time. Mike and Mitch showed up just after. Frank, Steve, and Tony showed up later.
Frank at S threw wildly to first to miss a double play that would have ended the first with no score. Angel at 1B missed a liner in the second. Richard in LC dropped a fly in the fourth. Tony at 2B made a good running catch on a looper back and to his left.
Mitch struck out in the 4th after his eyes followed a bat (mammalian) that flew across the flight of the pitch. Mitch paid up at Round Table afterwards, to the benefit of Mike, Earl, Frank, Richard as well as Scared Hitless's Joe Mrozinski, Liz Beck, Andre, and Luke Dubord.
Both of Chris's doubles were 5-6 balls hit so hard that they reached the fence. Steve put his homer over the fence in left, and Richard hit his triple over the RF. However, the hitting star of the day was Sheila, who twice picked up key rbis.

Great win: two comebacks from 5-run deficits against a team with very few holes on offense or defense. It's hard to believe this team has lost three games.
Richard homered to dead center, but Tony owned the biggest hits of the day, a triple to center to close the gap from 1-6 to 4-6, and a two-out double to extend the lead from 8-7 to 10-7. Annie's liner over 1B tied the game in the 4th, and Josh's triple to dead center gave us the lead for good.
Pretty solid D despite Rich's drop in RF, Annie's drop at C, Richard's high throw to Earl off a liner to miss the double play, and Brad's wild underhand pitch to try to get a 5-4 force. Frank played very solidly at SS, as did Josh in LF, who twice tempted one of their big lefties to pop up to him. Annie at C did pick off a runner at first to end inning 1. Adrian also fought off Richard on a high pop up in the 5th.

Brad and Chris hit monsters through the trees in LC. Chris's last double was an even higher, harder ball that may have hit the picnic table and bounced back.
Good D in general. The only play I can remember was in the last inning where Annie in RF chased down a ball hit over her head , threw to Tony at 2B, who relayed to Richard at C to get the batter trying to leg out a homer.

Brad in LF in the 5th threw a perfect one-hopper to Annie at C to get a runner going 2B to home on a single.
Annie in RC in the fourth ended the inning by going up the hill to her right and backhanding a hard liner. Annie also hit harder than she has all year, looking like her wrist flexibility has returned.

KOT probably hit 7+ home runs, though Dave pitched well, especially on short notice when Steve realized late that we had a doubleheader.
Chris smoked a line drive through the tree in LF for his homer. Angel lofted his over center. Frank tripled to RC, while Josh essentially singled down the 3B line and kept running, as the automatic out to end the game followed.

Hitting star: Tony Greicius put two over the fence, doubled between left and left-center. However, he did end the game with the bases loaded on a medium fly to left.
Brad crushed one for the Sharks over the fence. Mike beat the RCF for his triple, while Mitch's went past the LCF.
Great hitting by Rich and Tony, the only ones who got on safely every time. Chris's only out was a hard hit liner to left, and Mike's only out was a deep fly to RC.
Steve in LF had the defensive play of the day, a good catch of a line drive to his left in the 4th, then a strong throw to Rich at 2B for a double play.
Chris took about three tough-hop balls off his chest, converting two of them into outs. Tony in his one inning at 1B assisted Steve on a nice 1-3. Tony in LC in the 6th made a good catch of a sinking liner, immediately after switching with Mike, who went to 1B.
Mike pitched innings 1-4. Mike got a good Kf of the leadoff hitter the second time around. Steve pitched 5-7.
On the down side, Richard in LC got burned by Cindee Dlugos in the 4th but then recovered to catch a sinking liner to end the inning. Angel at 1B couldn't hold onto a sinking throw from Frank, and Rich at 2B couldn't find the handle on a hard grounder he fielded cleanly.
