Brad crushed his triple to left-center, while Rich hit his to right. Tony hit his homer over the RCF, while Frank got his under.
The two Richards reached base safely and scored every time up. Rich ended the season making only 8 outs in 44 plate appearances.
The smart softball play of the day: in the 6th, with no out and the leadoff batter on first, Brad cleanly fielded the #2 batter's hard grounder and threw to Mike at 1B for the out. The runner on first tried to take the extra base, but Mike's return throw got him.
The athletic play of the day: in the 7th after 4 S.H. batters had reached safely, Joe Mrozinski tagged one over Tony in LC, who was playing shallow. Tony broke back well and caugt it over his shoulder for the first out.

In the 6th, Adrian in RC juggled then caught the #3 batter's deep fly. On the juggle, the 3B coach yelled for the IP runner at 2B to go back, incorrectly thinking that he had to wait until the ball was firmly caught. That was probably enough for the ump to call the runner out when Frank got the ball back and stepped on the base.
Brutal outfield D - probably 5 dropped balls, plus another that should have been caught.
Round Table: Annie, Mario, Michael, Stephen, Richard, Rich, Mike, his brother Brett the retired cop who rode a BMW 1200 in from Austin, Brad, Frank, Adrian, Joe, and Earl celebrated Annie's last game of the year, as she has surgery next Tues on her arms.

Steve was sick again but managed to show up (late) to play.
Rich's homer was a soft fly ball that Richard on 1B expected to tag up on. Mike's triple was similar.
On Annie's single to right in the 5th, the RF threw wildly to 1B and hit her in the calf. When he asked if she was hurt, Annie responded loudly, "No, you throw like a girl," which left both dugouts in stitches.
TBD's first inning: out, single to right but thrown out (by Rich) advancing on the throw, single to left center but thrown out (by Richard) advancing on the throw.
Earl hit solidly every time.
On a bad toe, Adrian at C chased down a low pop-up a third of the way down the 3B line.
Round Table was packed, so Annie, Stephen, Mario, Michael, Joe, Rich, Frank, Mike and Richard headed to Georgees.

Steve was sick but still came and pitched. He struck out four, including a Kc on the Mauler pitcher for the second out of the 6th.
Frank got poked in the eye and couldn't play. Brad had an excellent day at short, handling every playable ball and putting his throws on the money for about 6 assists.
Annie will have surgery on her wrists November 7. She had an important catch for the first out in the 6th off Michael Schoelen, who had earlier homered to deep right.
Rich hit liners all night - 6-for-6, possibly a Shark first. Steve reached safely every time as well.
Richard put one over the fence, but the hit of the day goes to Adrian, who smoked Dave Morreale in left field for a double. Brad doubled and tripled off the fence. Joe owes Annie, who twice had two-out RBIs after following outs. Adrian also had the athletic play of the day on Richard's single right at her in the 5th, which she leapt, did the splits, and avoided.

KOT scored the tying and winning runs with two outs. That half-inning started in the middle of their order, and they were able to churn through back to the #3 hitter.
Brad homered through the trees in LC.
At the bottom of the third, Richard moved from 2B to SS, Frank from SS to LC, Tony from LC to SS. That may have triggered a mental relaxation on the Sharks.
Mike pitched the final two innings and speared a good liner.
Rancho afterwards: Earl, Frank, Joe, Mike, Adrian, Richard, Stephanie, Stephanie's friend Jewel.

Richard's homer was a towering shot to left. Rich's homer was a solid liner to right that the RF couldn't come up with. That shot put the Sharks up for the first time, but the top of Gasp's order was coming up.

Frank had an outstanding day: making two 6-3 double plays on defense, almost turning a 1-6-3, and reaching base safely every time on offense.
Steve and Rich also had perfect days on the plate. Steve put a ball over, as did Brad and Richard. Adrian and Annie also got key hits, though Annie hit one too well, a one-hopper to the right fielder, who threw her out at first.
Steve struck out at least two, both goood hitters.
Big rally in the 4th - everything happened with two outs.
New ump - firm, decisive. His one bad call: Brad fouled off a pitch at 1-1, and the ump declared "must be fair", which no Shark noticed. Brad fouled another one, the ump called him out, the Sharks protested and got it reversed, Brad singled. I.P. handled being called back onto the field graciously, especially the lefty 3B Andy, who eased up on Brad's second foul because he thought Brad would be out.

Play of the day goes to the Dawgs. Tony hit a deep fly in the 2nd to left that Ted Xanders caught deep in the out of play area. The ump called it an out until Ted acknowledged where he caught it.
With one out and runners on first and second, Earl at 2B speared a liner up the middle and took it himself to 2B to end the inning.
