- Rich, with a bad back and an illness, sat out after the 5th.
- Joe hit well. Everyone else... Actually, Stacy got good wood on her
grounder in the 2nd, and Richard, trying to avoid being hit, shielded
John Boyte enough to make any play difficult.
- Again with no umps, Richard and Laverne agreed that there would be no
height limit. Steve Broberg had good accuracy with the high balls, but
the good hitters on Swatm were still able to hit.
- On Lovato's hard hit down the left field line, Angel fought the wall
and threw perfectly to 2B for the tag out.

- Earl played the first inning defensively until Angel arrived.
- With a runner on first, Deb fielded Emily's grounder to her right,
stepped on second for the force and threw to first for the DP.
- Richard at 3B threw a grounder into the dirt for an error and failed
to catch Toby's liner or throw him out in the second.
- Steve caught at two hard liners from Catalina, doubling John Flores
off first on one of them.
- All homers went to right-center. Angel's two hopped the opposite fence.
- Missed opportunities: Rich stopped Annie from tagging from third
on Joe's fly to left, then Emily cleanly fielded Richard's grounder
up the middle to end the inning. After 7 hits in a row, Angel got
under a ball to right-center. And with the bases loaded in the
7th, Tony popped up to second. Still, it was a great comeback from
11 down to force an extra inning. Big hit by Steve to tie the game.

- Marinators played 8 to start the game before Tracy showed up with
a 3-2 count on the first batter.
- Both Angel and Mitch homered to dead center, with both balls landing
at the base of the fence. Great hitting all around. The big blow
was Joe's double in the first to not waste the loaded bases.
- First inning: with one on and one out in the first, Richard at 3B
caught a line drive and doubled Fabiano off first, with Rich making
a nice catch of a short hop
- Third inning: after two walks, Shyam hit a perfect one-hop double
play ball to Richard, who threw a strike to Rich.

- Angel's homer went to right. Mitch's double would have been a foul
over the left field fence but that it hit the tree and dropped
straight down. Steve doubled nicely to left-center.
- Great defense by Frank, who came up with two hard short-hops,
one for a double-play in which he may have thrown before touching 2B.
- Steve tagged on Frank's fly in the fifth but slowed significantly
before reaching 3rd.

- Good hitting by Rich, Angel, Brad.
- Deb wasn't sure when she would arrive, so Stacy
subbed at the last moment. Sharks played 9 in the first.
- Greg almost ran down Mike Hernandez's home run to RC in the first.

- First time through the order: Frank hit a good liner that Steve
Guzman at P speared. Angel had a good hit, but that was it.
Steve fouled out over the LC fence.
- In the fourth, Greg had a good single to LC, but got caught in no-man's
land when the LCF bobbled the and threw wildly, but John Boyte at 1B
backed up the play well. Frank had a good hit, but got erased on
Rich's DP, which nailed Steve in the foot but then went straight to 2B.
- Ed Lovato got a nice double play on Frank's hard-hit ball in the 6th.
- A little controversy: John lined one off the left field fence, which
bent backward, letting the ball go over. Richard as commissioner ruled it
a ground-rule double, on the basis that hitting the fence or the tree
in left field is like hitting the ground.
- Shark outfielders overran about 5 balls.>

- In the top of the first, Steve got nailed right below the knee.
Earl pitched the rest of the game, though Steve felt well enough
by the 3rd to bat. Earl did strike 1 batter out.
- Section 8 had ony 9 players.
- Annie got no help in getting tagged out at home in the first,
as sliding would have gotten her safe. Greg in LC and Tom at 3B
turned the tables later by throwing out a runner going 1st to 3rd.
- Tony's ground ball hit Annie to end the 3rd.
- With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 2nd, Richard
caught a line drive up the middle and stepped on second to end the
inning. With a runner on first and one out in the 3rd, Annie in
RF caught a fly and threw to first for the DP.
- Angel's fly in the first was the first ball he got under all
season. He still had the go-ahead RBI in the 3rd.
- Hitter of the day: Mitch hit well all day, including a smoking
double off the fence, while Greg put two hard
line drives just over.
- Stacy, Sheila, and Tony subbed on 1/2 day's notice, while Tom
had more notice. Stacy showed
up early for some BP, hit the ball hard, and hustled. Sheila had
a solid single up the middle, and Tony hit the ball on the screws
twice. Tom had a good hustle play by drawing a throw on Earl's
line out advancing to second on the overthrow, from where he
scored on Steve's two-out single.

- Greg showed up during the bottom of the first, so Earl played
LF in the first inning and took himself out afterwards.
- IP played 5 infielders against men in the first few innings,
then shifted to a regular 4-person outfield afterwards.
- Bad sign: Angel led off the 6th with a single to center, took third
on the catcher's overthrow on Frank's first pitch, then got stranded.
- Angel again hit the daylights out of the ball with a homer to
center and another to right-center. Greg and Rich also hit well,
with Greg homering to dead center. Greg also had the go-ahead
rbi with a rocket down the 3B line. Rich had the key hit to
send the game to overtime, a good double to right-center.
- Brad, Frank, and Greg all hit line drives off the roof of the
shed in left. All would likely have been triples normally.
- Annie picked the right spot for her hit, a key single to extend
the 7th. Deb hit the ball squarely at least 3 times, but IP
played good D. The woman in left (Amy Lucadamo) had two good
catches off low line drives from Richard and Frank.
- Cleveland pitched well, especially given the short notice Richard
gave him. Frank played flawless defense, including a backbreaking
6-3 double play with 2 on and 0 out in the 8th. Richard at 3B
caught a sharply hit line drive to end the 6th.

- Game started 1 minute early. Steve and Annie showed up after.
- Last Gasp had a good Asian 2B. Hit hard, turned 2 DPs.
- Angel hit again, and Greg and Joe got on every time.
- Angel reached over the fence to almost catch a ball, but instead
knocked it back in play for a double.
- Other D: a few painful errors and 4 walks. Greg assisted to Joe
at C, then Joe completed injuring his groin when turning to throw to 3B
and may be out for a while (begun when scrambling back to 1B on a nice
play by the Gasp 2B on Annie's liner in the 3rd).

- Both sides went 1-2-3 in the first. Rust. Short fence in LF due
to construction of a gym.
- Angel carried the offense. Rocket up the middle for the first Shark
hit, rocket to right-center that skipped beneath Shyam, rocket up the
middle, rocket up the middle that David Johnson managed to protect himself
from. The homer was the turning point of the game.
- Joe had the other extra-base hit, a screamer to left that bounced off
the base of the fence. Frank had 3 good hits, and Deb hit well.
- The Marinator second was almost disastrous - Angel dropped a fly, and
Richard threw wildly home to let the second run score. However, with
runners on first and second, one of the Marinator women singled to drive
in 1, but then ran to second where David Johnson had stopped. Steve cut
Angel's throw to the plate (which probably would have gotten the
runner) and relayed to Deb, who got the
ball and tagged both runners when they strayed off the base.
- Rich laid out for a foul ball behind first, though some would say he
lost his footing and ate it. Earl got caught in a rundown in the 5th
and got tagged out awkwardly but managed to avoid Rich's fate.
- Frank played solid D at short. Richard got 1 of 2 low backhands, but
the caught one killed a rally after a drop by Rich,
and the missed one was in the last
